That's great to see.

 

I've read a lot of uncomplimentary things about the various battery powered sets which we see for sale at this time of year - "they're cheap, they're this, they're blah, blah, blah" - but not every family has the financial means or desire to buy a more expensive outfit so these types of sets clearly fill a need. They put trains into the hands of kids whose families might not have otherwise been able to provide or afford them. I've given some of these sets to folks I know and, with proper care, they performed quite well.
