educate me please..........if that engine has catenary on top, why is there a center rail?............is that also an electrified rail, for use in a tunnel perhaps?

And while U R edumicating Redjimmy1955, edumicate me on why the picture shows spikes holding the rails to the ties while Gargraves doesn't?

I'm gonna guess it's for some sort of servicing equipment, as this shot appears to be at an engine depot.

I always wanted to visit the NJ high railers big layout , unfortunately It's been a long winter and my wife  just finished watching the whole series of the Sopranos from our local library.. Poor Bobby, Did Tony's family get  to finish dinner in the last episode??  Nope not going to NJ.  (it a joke folks)

ANYTHING is possible in NJ - politically or otherwise! LOL!
