Why such a difference in delivery times for product? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Okay, so I had ordered a dd35 from a local retailer last year and while everyone got theirs either just before or just after Christmas my order did not show up until about 2 weeks ago. After having my debit card number stolen and getting over the flu earlier this week I just got around to getting it today. Also, I ordered a set of the Lindbergh Heavyweight passenger cars from an online retailer almost a year ago and everyone seemed to have gotten theirs three weeks or more ago and yet I just got my set. I like what I bought but why such a delivery difference of around 1 to 2 months? ****, I am nearer to the boats that deliver this stuff than all east coasters.....geez! Besides all kidding aside, why?
