I have two camera cars, the NS Caboose (6-85077) and the NS Theater Car (2127060).  The cameras work in both cars.  Problem is whenever I touch the picture or recording button in the App, it crashes immediately. In the past, no problem.  However, yesterday this 'crash' problem surfaced. I think it happened in the past, but I'm not sure. I couldn't figure out what was happening. I deleted and reloaded the Apps, but that didn't cure the problem. I'm using an iPhone and iPad, both with the most recent iOS.  This morning I decided to try an old iPad (9.3.5 13G36) and iPhone (iOS 15.8.3), they  worked. No crashing, the record button worked. Have others experienced the same issue (crashing when attempting to use 'Record') with the latest iOS? If so, is Lionel planning an update to the WiFi Camera App to fix this "bug"?

I realize Dave and company are probably steeped in Cab3 Cab3 App issues...so I don't expect anything soon, if at all, but was just wondering.  Thanks.

I can tell you this, Lionel left an extremely bad taste in my mouth! I have the CSX 21" passenger train. I wanted the camera when it first came out so I picked CSX and the theater car with the complete train. Being on a very limited budget it was a huge expense for me to get the camera. BUT I loved it and had no complaints till the next year. Lionel put it in  a caboose. WOW I could have saved a ton of money. I purchased that and again had no problems. NOW ALONG COMES 2024. I purchase a new Galaxy 24 Ultra. Had to trade in my old phone. SURPRISE the app no longer works. Downloaded and reinstalled several ties and get the message this app will not run on this version of Android. Down load the latest app. I DID!!!  I called  Lionel and the answer I got was we will be updating it soon. THAT WAS APRIL2024!



My advice is to pile on and let's keep asking for the updated versions. We spent good money for it and it should work!

So here is the story.     The app fails on my iPhone 14 but does work on my older iPhone 8.    Somewhere between iPhone 8 and 14 an incompatibility arose.    

I contacted Lionel.   They are aware of the problem and shared that a software release was being released in August to address the problem.   August came and went.

I suspect the Base 3 is demanding all their resources to fix those SW issues.    

Sad, but reality.   My recommendation is to contact Lionel .   The more people who ask, might help it rise in priority.
