I know what their web site says, but do DZ-1000 Switch Machine work with Atlas? Has any body used them with Atlas switches.

I've seen DZ1000 switch motors work just fine with Atlas switch tracks.
The only thing that had to be done differently was to get the DZq100 motor to the same height as thee Atlas switch track,
This was accomplished by using cork roadbed under the Atlas switch track but not under the DZ1000 motor itself.

All over the layout. I have about 10 or so. They come with three different bent wire springs and the one with square bend -- I think -- is for Atlas. Would send picture but I'm on travel. Note that if you drive thru the switch when closed in a slip direction, the little spring can pop loose and fly across your layout and you may never see it again. I put a small piece of cork under the spring so it can't slide down enough to come off the holder.
I forget whose picture this is........but, this picture is how I copied my own set up......I have 23 Atlas switches hooked up this way through 3 AIUs.
You have to raise the machine a bit with wood, etc. to make it work.

Actually, that's the spring for Ross turnouts.
If you can line up the DZ-1000 switch motor it will work with many kinds of switches.
I used a DZ-1000 on an old 027 switch that was extremely damaged(beyond normal repair) and now have a much better 027 switch. Took it down to just the track and switch base and then added the DZ-1000 with a couple of screws after aligning the switch motor to the throw arm of the switch.

I plan on using them on all my ross and atlas switches, Sorry Atlas but your machine needs a big revamp/redesign
Yes, as others have stated the DZ1000's work very well with Atlas switches.
Thanks for the responses. The Atlas switch machines are rather long and was looking at the DZs as a alternative.
I used the Atlas machines for most of my switches, but I also had some that would not fit, used the DZ1000s on those. The DZ1000s are about $10 or so more expensive than the Atlas machines. The new Atlas switch machines I have work very well also. I have had some used ones that did not.
