One of the things I thought would be neat once PRR 5550 is completed is if one one of her excursions, she'd pull a recreation of the Broadway Limited at high speed. Possibly with an all PRR passenger consist. I'm aware a complete New York to Chicago trip would be impossible, but a trip along former BL rails would be nice, although I very much wish the former could happen. What are your thoughts?

Nice dream, but not logical, especially since a "correct PRR Broadway Limited passenger car consist" doesn't exist.
Very true. Where in the world are you gonna find what? 22 sleepers? Although it may not look pretty, our best bet would be a variety consist that is seen with almost all mainline excursion steamers these days.
1. The route of the BL west of Pittsburgh is not in the best shape in places.
2. Outside of a few regionals, what line would let it run?
3. Better chance of Jurassic Park opening than this.
That's also a good point. Former PRR mainline would be best bet. After all, 1223 and 7002 were able to do that
