As a York Native (lived here my whole life) I can work on trying to figure something out for everybody. I will also talk to my boss at the Hobby Shop and see if maybe we can host something at the shop for yall to come and hang out friday night, maybe pizza and some drinks or if you guys would like something else, I can see what I can figure out for everybody! I look forward to seeing you all this spring!

Very interesting and generous.....I do suspect that the consensus will be more of a "sit down" type of event after a 20,000 step day walking the Halls.....but certainly, something to think about....

I only know of a few places out there other than where we were last year. Those other places are not very welcoming to groups larger than 8, would take too long to get in, and they would probably not be able to push tables together.

I'd be alright with where we were last year(Olive Garden) as they could handle a decent sized group. Anyone know of other places?

@Putnam Division Yes i agree, and that is why myself and my boss are looking around to if we have space to host a sit down meal type of thing or another option...... @Dave NYC Hudson PRR K4 I have reached out to Hoss's restaurant as they have a banquet room and are just a short drive (roughly 2 mins) from the fairgrounds, that myself and White Rose Hobbies may sponsor a dinner or something along those lines at the restaurant, I am waiting to hear back from them.....i will update accordingly on this thread or ill generate another thread.

I understand from what I was told by one of their members, there will likely be a different forum group at the Olive Garden on Friday night.....

Last October that was what Don was saying. There are so many groups doing so much night life stuff, that it's hard as heck to do everything. Don told us(which both you and he stated earlier on here) about asking the Eastern Division meeting that Saturday morning. I know that I'll run with somebody.

Chris, you won't be alone. I think everyone is in on Thursday night(that will be there). I know that I will be. I don't plan on hitting the Toy Train Museum in the spring, though I may have to pop into the RR Museum. I have to wait to hear back from them on something they are looking at for me. I will definitely be there. So, hopefully you won't get bored seeing me drink my Guinness, enjoying my steak, while John talks all the ins and outs of fixing locos that people blow up, or me asking him about it.

I will be joining you for that Guinness!

Bob - I'd recommend making the reservation for Friday night.  At a minimum there will be several smaller groups meeting if there is no larger gathering.   I know I'll be going somewhere and you're welcome to join me if there isn't a large gathering.  My email is in my profile for when we get closer to the date.

Can I come too?

Of course!

Mmmm....steak and Guinness...myself and the lads will also be at QS&L on friday night.  We sit at the other end of the same room as the NJ Hirailers...and there is room for all, so c'mon down..sit a spell!

Jimmy, Thursday is when we will be there for April. October should be Friday at least we think it should be. You could still pop there on Friday if you like, but some of us will be elsewhere which is still in the works

Hello to all of the members of OGR Forum

I will be going to Quaker Steak and Lube both Thursday and Friday night, unless I am informed otherwise.

I hope that someone can inform me as to the definite Quaker Steak and Lube Get-Together so I can make my final choices sooner than later.

Until then, April York is coming faster now as the time gets closer.

It's always been Thursday night even when the meet used to be only Friday and Saturday so I don't know why it would all of a sudden be changed now.
