I see that the new Williams by Bachman catalog finally has a graphic of the Amtrak Phase V Genesis diesels. I can't tell from the small illustration, but is the detail level on the current Genesis diesels an improvement over the early runs? I was wondering if anybody has one of the more recent issues and has compared it with the original runs from almost ten years ago.
I have one of the original sets (even before Williams was using flywheel motors, had to upgrade mine!). The detail is OK, but no separate handrails, detailed grills, etc. The same question applies to the trucks. The illustration makes me hope the current sideframes are better done than the early ones.
