G'day viewers, Does anyone know the Williams Electric Trains released date on this baby?

Was there a catalog with this release? If so, anyone with a copy would you mind posting? Curious as to what the advert described?

Cheers to one and all

Al

I did find this in my Deep (20th Century) Archives. I did buy, eventually, the unpainted bare brass one, which I later painted and weathered. Looks good, but sometimes I wish that I hadn't. Just for old times' sake.

The silver and silver nose versions make no sense at all, and have no basis in reality. Didn't get it; still don't.

Thanks mate the post. It's straight forward no nonsense advertisement.  I agree with your sentiments... Why the Silver? lol. I appreciate your time and post. Have you still got the T1 4-4-4-4? Any chance of seeing a photo of your handy work? Cheers Al

The Silver and Tuscan paint on the Williams T1 was to mimic the PRR passenger car sets. Silver to compliment budd congo cars [ think Siver GG1] and Tuscan for the tuscan passenger cars for those toy operators who want a matching loco with their passenger sets. PRR modelers know the locomotive came in one paint color of DLGE with two distinct stripe variations.

As you requested, Last Train Outta Sydney. I have even left the collectable dust on it.  As  an FYI, the brass PRR T-1 marketed by Weaver was originally supposed to be a Williams model, but Williams and Samhongsa parted ways and Weaver took on the T-1 model as theirs. The T-1 below was indeed sold by Williams, but was made by a builder other than Samhongsa. Or so I understand. These models are a bit cruder, but still capture the look.

I thought that I was so clever when I painted this T-1 - the circular "vents" on the pilot's side needed to be gold in color, and I just scraped off the paint to expose the natural brass. I no longer find that as clever as I once did.  I seem to recall adding the keystone to the pilot after I got the loco. I did this paint job a -long- time ago. I like T-1's far more than any New York Central fan should.

Wasn't there an Australian or NZ steamer that had styling cues similar to the T-1's?
