Well I didn't want to stir the Southern Fans Bee hive!!

But I'm really modeling all the Railroads ran in and out of Charlotte,NC. my main focus is the Southern but I also have Seaboard, Piedmont and Northern and the Norfolk Southern Rwy in my collecting. The only odd ball would be my Collection of Atlantic Coast Line and Norfolk and Western motive power and rolling stock. I'll check on the WBB website again to see if they will say when these RS-3 are available. They do look a lot like the K-Line RS-3 but I would have thought the tooling ended up being in Lionel hands when they took over K-line? I still would like to see some form of a command system that can be added on later.

Sean,

I have a MTH Seaboard Air Line RS3 with Locosound and like it, but the WBB RS3 looks better, especially with the separate handgrabs.

The description says it has the new "True Blast Plus™ 16-bit polyphonic sound including prime mover, horn, and bell."  If it's loud enough (that's the only issue I've heard people talk about with the new GP30 locos) then it ought to be a winner, if the retail price is lower than the MSRP.

I looked but couldn't find anywhere that still has the MTH RS3 I have or any SAL RS3 with PS2 or PS3.

I was hoping WBB would still come out with their USRA 2-8-2, but I recently bought an older Williams/Samhongsa brass Mike for less than $200 delivered, I doubt WBB could have made their new one for twice the price.
