Just got this locomotive yesterday, I like it a lot.  The detail, paint, and lettering are very well done.  It is hands down the best running Williams I have, and I have several.  The bell and horn are much nicer than the older True Blast units.  Diesel sound is good, but it should be a bit louder.

Some may notice that Williams chose the short hood to be the front of the locomotive, which would not be correct for the CN.  I don't mind as I like the look of the short hood forward.

In the photo is a spare Maine Central number board for GP-38 #254, it was found in the Bangor roundhouse when it was being demolished.

I'm kind of partial to those old things...I really like it and I believe  WBB is the only one that has the  early paint job......... nice!   As far as the thing running backwards,  it happened every day  on way freights  on dead end branch lines and for that matter on the main line as well. If that's the way it was headed on the shop track , away you'd go.

Thx for posting

I just saw this tonight. As I look at the damage I think I would like driving it long vose forwaes. Take a look.

TFM 1623 seems to have borne the brunt of the damage from a low speed, head on collision that occurred on the Union Pacific "Rabbit Line" in Keithville, Louisiana (12/30/13). A siding switch was left open as a CXS powered general freight and a TFM/BNSF powered coal unit train passed in Keithville (20 miles south of Shreveport) and the lead units struck head on. This locomotive was damaged by cars derailing on the coal unit train. One crew member was hospitalized with minor injuries.

I'm not sure if the RS-3 is scale, a traditional Lionel or Williams GP-9 are the same length.  I think traditional Lionel 6464 look a little small with it, but I always thought they looked small behind the GP-9's.  I'm running my engine with Weaver wood sided boxcars and MTH Railking boxcars, both are a little larger.  They look fine to me.
