Has anyone had problems with Williams Berkshire steam engines running for a few feet then freezing or locking up and refusing to move? This occurred when the engine was run on Atlas Track and on Lionel Fastrack.

Sounds like some valve gear on the sides binding up. I've had ballast get in the gears but usually that stops it dead in it's tracks. My MTH 0-6-0 had a quartering problem with the main drive wheels not being 90 degrees from one another.

I think you are on the wrong forum but is this the Post War 726 diecast repro or a brass engine?
