it's really pretty simple.  Just take the cab off so you have access to the motors.  Then cut one wire to each motor, but they have to be the opposite poles on the motor.  In other words, cut the "hot wire" on one motor and the  "ground wire" on the other.  Then connect the two open motor leads together.  If you cut the wires with enough wire, you might not even have to add wire;  simply splice the two leads together.  

If you happen to do it wrong, and the motors are running in opposite directions, it's an easy fix.   Just cut the other lead for one motor and reverse the two sides.

Don't cut anything.

Remove the yellow wire from one motor, the blue from the other. Wrap them, separated, with insulating tape and secure them inside the shell. Now connect the two motor terminals you just freed up with a new wire. Done, & easily reversible if desired.

My older Williams diesel motors had .110 quick-connects, newer ones may need to be swapped with a soldering gun/iron.

I've wired some of my Williams in series.  They do run slower and on my RS-3, it improved the volume produced by sound system.  Still no as load as I would like.  This is an area that Bachmann could improve upon.

I have a Williams F-3 that I'm considering adding an Electric RR sound board to.  Any opinions on how well this would work in comparison to a Bachmann sound board?
