Somebody has inquired about Harrisburg, Pa. train "sites".  Shops that did exist up the Susquehanna on the south

side are gone, that I once visited.  I have visited Wagner's, forgetting it was on Willow St., but I also for several years,

when they were doing construction on the Lancaster bypass, drove a direct route from Strasburg to 30 and discovered

Willow Street, Pa. (the town) and a train shop/ garden center south of it...that had a lot of trains as well as other collectibles.

I never bought anything, that I can remember, but the last time I was there, now several years ago, it was gone!  The

building was gone!! and just an open garden shop was there.   Since there a lot of Pa. train people, and its proximity to Strasburg, somebody on here might know what happened to that shop>

That would be Frey's Evergreen Plantation & Train World.  I use to go there often and even have a custom billboard reefer from them made by Weaver in the early 90's.

In August of 2004 they had a devastating fire that destroyed all the model train inventory and most of the building to the tune of $700,000+.  Today I believe they still sell lawn & garden supplies and Christmas trees, I'm not sure if they sell trains.  I'll have to take a ride there and see.  I do know that the gentleman who operated the train store part has a shop at the Strasburg RR. and I've seen him at York also.

Frey's Evergreen Plantation fire.
