More from the recent Western trip.  On February 1-2, 2014, the Sumpter Valley Railroad in Oregon played host to two days of steam photo charters, organized by Pete Lerro.  The railroad operates on 7 miles of reconstructed track of the original Sumpter Valley between McEwen and Sumpter, OR.  Both operable engines, 2-8-2 #19 and W.H. Eccles Lumber Company 2-truck Heisler #3 are operating on home rails, as are some of the freight and passenger cars.  Both days featured two trains, with the 19 on a freight, and the Heisler on a work train, and with a wye in McEwen, each day featured different runbys.  Weather ranged from flurries to bright sun as the Oregon narrow gauge railroad put on quite a show.
