Working outside in New England during the winter can take it's toll on the wallet. Fortunately I have a couple hundred cars that either need weathering, repainting, or 2 railing. I like to research each particular car that I weather, although sometimes you need to improvise a bit. Anyway, when the weather outside is not very friendly to working in the tree care industry, I find I have plenty of time for modelling.
Here are a couple of my recent projects:
The ACF hopper is a lionel version converted to 2 rail using atlas 100t trucks and repainted. I still need to finish the decals and do some light weathering. The boxcar is an atlas trainman Apilachicola Northern boxcar that will be restenciled to AGR- Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway, as soon as the decals come in. Forgive the third rail in the pic, its the only spare piece of track that I had on hand.
