In case anyone missed it, I believe this past weekend we reached the Winter York-quinox, that point in the calendar halfway between the York Fall Meet and the Spring Meet....when the sun passes directly over the Orange Hall as it moves back northward. All downhill from here!

LOL The winter cold does cause ones mind to day dream of pleasant, warmer events.
You had me at the headline. Very, very fun.

I just booked my hotel room! Seriously......Greg
I read somewhere that there is a train show at York this weekend. The southern part of the state is forecast for some substantial snow from this storm.
Don
Yup....the Greenberg York show was scheduled today and tomorrow. Website stats show will go on in spite of the snow. Dummies....don't know who's gonna break the law to drive there. Guess they didn't hear a state of emergency was declared yesterday.

Well who ever shows up, they won't have any trouble navigating the aisles.
Good one, Eddie. I actually laughed out loud when I read that.

I don't think there was a driving ban associated with the state of emergency declaration, that was just precautionary. I think all the motorists stranded on the PA turnpike for 20 hours are a testimonial to that. There may have been travel bans in certain areas or cities, but nothing wide spread that I was aware of.
Governor Urges PA Residents Not To Travel
I wonder if anybody showed up? Including dealers....
He did issue a travel ban and raised the emergency level to level 2 shortly after noon and went on to respond to a direct question from a reporter, that yes, if folks were out and caused issues they could expect ramifications (ie: be cited/charged).
Still, expecting 2 feet of snow all week long--why hold a train show?

After being oncall this weekend.......I can't wait!

Can anyone comment on what the likely spread of temperatures will be during the April version of the TCA Eastern York show ?
Does anyone know how much snow they got at York fairgrounds out of the storm last weekend ? It got down into the 50s this weekend here. Brrrrr.
Hi! booked my hotel room yesterday and registered with TCA for badge. Now all I have to do is book my flight from Dallas.

Steve.....I'd say afternoon highs in the low 60s is a good average. The last year of the Yellow Hall before Orange opened it was 96......my son and I were staying in the Gettysburg Hampton Inn and we went to Walmart and bought shorts....we've also seen showers a few times.
......so, I guess, anything is possible.....

Pretty good Mike
April York temps could be in the 40s or the 90s or somewhere in between.
As as for the Greenberg Show if they cancelled they likely would have to refund all dealers. Instead they can claim circumstances beyond their control.
