Wire size for switch controls

I am about to install some Ross switches operated by DZ-1000 switch machines. Some of these switches will be about 40' from the switch control panel and the switch motor power supply.

In consideration of this 40' distance, what size wire should I plan on using for the the power/common wires, and what size for the r/l switch activation wires?

16 or 18 AWG should work.
