Looking at options for setting up my layout and I have a question.  I see in the ASC manual that you can connect the transformer's power out to the COMM port of the ASC, and then you can use the ASC to apply that power to any blocks of track on the 1-4 ports.

My question is can I put the 4 outputs of my ZW on the 1-4 ports and the track on the COMM port to use the ASC to select which handle sends power to the track?

sinclair, are you wanting to control track blocks or sidings to park trains? unless I misunderstand no matter what you use it will involve turning a block on/off or switch from one handle of zw power to the other.

as you know I use the lionel bpc's to do exactly that the upside it controls 4 blocks and you can dazy chain as many bpc's as you want and wire both zw's or any double handled transformer to them using the T-1 and T-2 connections on bpc and switch block power form one handle to the other just saying is all.

the upside if you have DCS and ps-2/3 engines you can use 1 block as a programming track by turning other blocks on that mainline to off. not sure if you still have same layout as I seen last time I was there?

far as I know there isn't any easier way to do block control but you seem smart to me so create a talking software that will respond to voice commands once you have it working well patent it and sit back and with luck you will become your own boss and work at home a win win for you!

hows that for an old ones thinking? my wife has a saying if you think it do it.
