Crossover switching only has two wanted modes, straight thru or crossing.

If non-derailing feature is used only one switch needs to be thrown to change tracks.

Otherwise both in and out turnouts must be switched to prevent derailing.

This could be done with one single pole double contract switch, likely center off for safety.

Sometimes the problem is not with throwing the switches but with getting your engines to run (without stopping) through the crossing piece of track which forms the center of your "X."  If that is your situation / problem, you may have to look at the track manufacturer's website to learn how to add additional under-track wiring to prevent loss of power in the crossing legs.
