Wiring Smoke And Lights Separately

I have this K-Line bunkhouse accessory 6-21253 that has both lights and smoke. When the included mountable switch is on the smoke and lights work as they should. However, when the switch is off, both the lights and smoke turn off. I would like the lights to be on all the time while have the switch control the smoke only. The way I see the wiring currently is the lights (on the plug in the photo) are attached to the smoke unit switch (on the car). I'm not sure how to run just the smoke on the separate switch. I don't want to have to turn the car over every time I want to turn the smoke off.
