Back in the day railroads were building wooden coaling towers, or, rather, I think about three different companies
were, did certain railroads have a favorite contractor for these, maybe even an exclusive builder, or were these put
out for bid and the low bidder got the job? These seem to be quite a bit alike in the wooden era, and that continued
into the concrete era, where many still looked a lot alike. I just wondered if certain railroads had a lot alike from a certain builder? Ogle, Fairbanks-Morse, and another partnership seemed to do a lot....were there other major
contractors? Or did many railroads build their own?
