If you are a 2 railer, and you love realistic detail, you should be getting woodland scenic buildings and figures. They are absolutely the BEST. We have a number of Woodland scenic buildings in stock, and EVENTUALLY, I'll get sets of figures and accessories up on he web.We carried a lot of woodland scenics back in the train show days., and it just takes time to get those things up on the web. (right now im getting a backlog of Lionel scale sized cars up on the web. PS-1 box cars done, but still about 100 other cars to go.)
Anyway, Woodland just announce today an O gaige electrical substation, and a load of phone poles, and other electrical utility stuff . I've got the substations available to pre-order, and the other stuff I'll just have available when it come in.
Back a hundred years ago when i had something that vaguely resembled a layout, we installed and wired street lights on the roads, and had a few other lighted gigns and buildings and stuff. When we turned the lights out in the basement and turned the lights on , on the layout, it was spectacular.
