I really like the dimming aspect of it. Nice system....
great product....I wonder what lenght the wires come in for the buildings....
If you have buildings at the back of your layout and the controls are say 10' away, can you get the long wires...
I like the dimming feature too..... very nice.
i see now you can also purchase 48" extender cables that come in a 2 pack. It looks like this all comes available in February.
Quite a clever system. They seem to have thought of most everything. I especially like that light-blocking putty for the foundation.
Appears to be a great deal of versatility to this system.
I am planning on ordering one.
Thanks BigJim for posting!
Big Jim,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! Even though I've been an electronics technician/engineer for over 38 years, I hate wiring, soldering, designing circuits and all that goes with it. I want to try this as well. You have heard of the KISS principle. It is addressed to me as the second S stands for Stupid! lol
I would like to know more on the nano lighting. do I still need to replace all those "dummy" lights on WS prebuilts with hollow cored lights[ which are difficult and expenside on O scale or is this something I can usse on existing WS prebuilt lights with minimal mods? Inquiring minds want to know!
I saw this advertised in the magazine. Right now, I have two Woodland Scenics buildings - Corner Emporium and the Dept. Store, and both defects because both have lights that do and don't work. The end result are partially lit buildings and little faith in their products.

Paul,
I have one of their buildings, but I bought if from a friend who was tearing his layout down to move. It lit at his house, but I never tried it. I don't even know if it has incandescent or LED lighting. That's why I was thinking like Chipset, buy one and try it out.
I plan on getting lighting to several buildings on the layout once I’m at that point as more than a few already have the bulbs and wires in them. I think I’ll be getting this lighting system as I have no way to light lights right now with straight DCC anyway for On30...
This appears to be a nice option to consider for the main layout and also for the Christmas display. I expect that Woodland Scenics will have a display of this product at the next York event. Can't wait to see how it looks up close and in person.
Looks great, I will be ordering one to try. Generally speaking, I find their products and customer service to be excellent (I use a lot of their products).
Thanks for the post Jim!

Did you notice that they also have a "Black Out" paint for building interiors so your walls won't glow?
Woodland Scenics is a great supplier that has been really raising the bar in our hobby of late. Their O gauge buildings are fantastic. They are so good that I am leaving space in my towns for future releases.

4 bulbs per hub? Wow, that's allot of hubs!
I Like the nano bulbs, sounds like the flasher circuit is in the bulb/ harness already.
Does it matter if its DC or AC for the power supply?
Interesting. I wonder if they will offer adapters to convert normal wiring into their special connectors so you wouldn't have to replace all the existing lights you have. I also wonder if these lights will automatically come installed in their future buildings.
I think it's a smart move. Similar to what Lionel is doing with the plug and play accessories. A lot of people getting in the hobby today are intimidating by the wiring aspect so it's good to give them an option to easily light their buildings.
Looking forward to reviews from you all on what you think.
I have a Frank's IGA on my layout. It works and looks great. I am very happy with it. I will probably try this one also.
