I adapted a multi-colored cardboard cable car (made as a tourist souvenir item) to a static On30 sideshow on an O27 layout. I put HO trucks under it so it can actually roll.

I will,  I think red spoke  0 ga wheels should look good, same as STD pilot wheels,

Love that wooden trolley.  That's going to be a neat project.  

Should i make it 1 foot ga....lol

Here is making up the trucks. Went with 0 ga wheels. Price was right...free...as were trucks..can change wheels any time..

Floor..next cut out for trucks.

Riki, that's an interesting job of engineering. I have a vague plan myself to create some kind of transit car for Standard Gauge. I have some old Standard Gauge track but no SG trains.

Now all you need is the clanging bell! 

But, since the cable car operators do their own rhythmic thing with the bell, you'll need to do the same.

I suggest contacting George at ITT Products, the sound guy, and see if he could customize a 30-60 second chip for one of his modules.  (No pemium charge for the customized chip, I believe)  Shouldn't be too hard to get a recording or two of the current cable car clangers for George to use, methinks.  Heck, could even be an excuse for a trip to the 'city by the bay'.

Shouldn't be a shortage of forum help to come up with a trigger circuit based on the whistle/bell buttons on a conventional power pack to get the ITT module going.
