I have a small S gauge loop under my O and standard gauge layout but some of the larger Flyer engines a a little large in terms of looking right on a smaller loop.  I would like to see a GP-7 or a VO switcher in at least Flyerchief control or Legacy.  The tooling is already there they just need the electronics.          Anyone else interested in something like that?

I would be definitely interested in a FlyerChief VO-1000 in Reading.  Since Lionel already has the VO-1000, all they need is the paint and electronics.

Are you listening Lionel?

Lionel does not have tooling for a VO. They do have Gilbert's old tooling (updated) for a Baldwin S9/12. A FC GP or Baldwin could be a possibility. I wouldn't be a buyer, however. I own more than enough of this sort of thing (vintage and new) in conventional form and, as a Legacy user, I don't cotton to the proliferation of FC remotes.

Chris,

If the you desire these in wireless you do have the option of doing a conversion using the electronics from ERR.  I have done a number of the Flyonel diesels the last one using the Cruise Lite and the Railsounds Commander. It is a tight fit but very possible to do. Takes the pain out of waiting.

I can use my Legacy remote now using my ZW-L in command mode but I would like the cruse control and sound. Your right ERR would be totally doable and I figured you would have to shoe horn the boards in there.

While I was admittedly reading between the lines, I had a conversation with Ryan K at Trainfest this past November and asked if there will be any FC diesel power in 2017, he smiled and said "you will have to wait and see".  In addition the interview in the S Gaugian this year Ryan was quoted as saying there are other FlyerChief products in the pipeline.

Like Rusty, my money is on a GP with FlyerChief.

Yes, they are a tight fit but these new sound units are really nice.  I did mention the Cruise Lite which is small enough to go with the Railsounds into a GP or SD and gives you very respectable performance. The cost may be a deterrent though, sound and cruise, if you did it yourself would be approaching $170.00 plus the locomotive.

I would like to try one of the Baldwins but , I don't own any of the Flyonel Baldwins , that might be a future interesting project.  I am not sure if the Baldwin would carry enough weight to pull many cars.
