Hallmark has made some of the major locomotives, tenders etc. But how about some motorized units?

Now that you bring it up, I am kind of surprised they haven’t done the trolley. Seems like that would be an obvious choice, as they have been running around Christmas displays forever.
I have all of the Lionel ornaments, but these days, the problem is finding a store from which to buy them. Hallmark stores are closing like crazy around here.

Nice ideas. I would like to see a PRR T1.

I think that it's up to Lionel to decide what ornaments Hallmark makes. These are licensed products.
Hallmark has made at least a couple 1930's pickup trucks, as ornaments, and one is an uncommon GMC l reworked for layout use. Would like to see more, And they could offer other vehicles...

Don't think Lionel tells Hallmark what to make, rather Hallmark proposes ornaments to Lionel for approval.
Unless it's a blanket license and Hallmark can make anything covered by it.

I love the Hallmark/Lionel ornaments... have all the large size (don’t collect the mini’s). While they are in no way scale, even in comparison to each other, I think the motorized units would have to be WAY out of scale in comparison to the prior issues.

Not to be a spoiler, but I think that the tooling cost would be prohibitive. I TOO love motorized units, but I think that the cost of producing them vs the return would not justify it. I have not been particularly impressed with the latest group of Hallmark Lionel ornaments.
Good afternoon, my wife just got this years engine and cars last night.
Here in our hometown the Hallmark store is sold out of the engines already.
The engine that I am surprised they haven't done is the Lionel 675 Pennsy K4 ( Lionel's version of a K4)
Maybe next year !!
Have fun collecting !!!!
Love that idea Chris - maybe offer them in a two-pack 👍🏼🚂🤔

Hallmark produced a Lionel Pennsy K4 torpedo several years ago.
