Surprised I havent seen this come up in the last few days, but this looked fishy when the box showed up. When the catalog was released, there was much discussion regarding these, see here .

How on earth did they miss this?
If I'm somehow mistaken, someone please correct me, but the photo above is dated '76, so I dont think this is the result of a renumbering. Here is a 1970 roster. Everything I've found show NYC E-8s remained 40XX, and the PRR numbers ranged 4236-4319.
