What scale are they? 1:43, 1:48 and 1:50 are all acceptable depending on their use and your preference.
If you use mostly 1:43 cars, it is not noticable in my opinion. Just don't group any 1:43 next to 1:48 or 1:50 cars. If you use the smaller ones also, put them back away from the bigger ones.
Lee,
Maybe I'm missing something in the translation. When you say, "standard" O-Gauge. Are you referring to Lionel's traditional size O-Gauge?
Lee,
Yes, here are some images of the 1:43 scale Mini Cooper from Yatming on a 1:50 scale Peterbilt tow truck. On the rare occasions where I have combined different scale models on my diorama, I went with 1:43 scale models of small vehicles, like this Mini Cooper & 1:50 scale models of larger commercial vehicles or Caterpillar construction equipment. Then the mismatch in scales does not seem prominent to me.
These are just my opinion,
Thanks,

Not Yatming but here are some images of a large Australian Kenworth truck in 1:50 scale with 1:48 scale Atlas 45’ Pines trailer & Weaver 53’ trailer. The last photo is of another large Australian Kenworth truck in 1:50 scale with an O-Scale K-Line 20’ tank container on a 1:50 scale container trailer.
These are just my opinion,
Thanks,
