Hello guys and gals...........

I purchased a NOS railking NW-2 #30-2157-1 in "Southern" colors as this engine has green body and white band with GOLD pin stripes and lettering, number (beautiful colors).  I decided to take a look at the MTH web site for railking and premier freight cars and cabooses in "Southern" roadnames but found the green cars all have yellow pin stripes.  The green diesel engines like the Geeps, E-units and F- units and those in black instead of green color also came with yellow pin stripes !!  I find the Gold pin stripes and lettering very classy !!  The Lionel Lionchief plus has a NW-2 Switcher with black body, white band but Yellow pin stripes so who's right ?  I purchased this railking NW-2 to have it repainted to Santa Fe colors but after seeing the green body and gold pin stripes and lettering had its sunshine (shine) on the body from the window when I was holding the switcher in my hands really is beautiful !! so decided to leave it alone (NOT to repaint it).  Does this railking engine with the GOLD pin stripes and lettering make it special ?   Let's hear from the "Southern" railway fans and experts have to say about this !!!

I would use this resource since depending on the year, locomotive, etc from my readings this list would aid your research.

Hello SOUTHERNFAN56..........

This is interesting data but would help to see pictures as far as I know from the data my switcher is dated for 1949 to 1958 era. (Green and white scheme) and was suppose to have yellow pin stripes not in gold but that is okay. The gold pin stripes is nicer than the yellow.
