i have never been to York.....yet, (but getting excited just reading about it on here!) I am hoping for the fall show. I was wondering about the different buildings or more so what's in them! I am interested in the used and older trains, would they be a building I should 'hit' first? Is there a building just for the latest releases etc on the market? how about European and the like, would they be lumped together?..........layouts?

I understand it's a massive show, would it be beneficial to have a set plan and can the paying public get a floor plan or the like? Phew! sorry for all the questions, thanks and happy hunting to all lucky enough to attend.

The TCA Eastern Division York Meet website will answer all of your questions.  There are three dealer's halls (Orange, brown & Purple) with predominantly newer releases.  The rest of the halls are halls that house member's items, some new, mostly old trains. I wouldn't miss any of them, they all have wonderful goodies you can use.

Also check out the York Meet Primer.  It'll explain a lot of the goings on at the Meet.

Hope you can get there soon!

To be clear: the general public cannot attend, it is a private, closed meet. A non-member may attend once as a guest. The Eastern Division requires formal identification, and does keep track. To attend a second time, an individual must join the TCA. The TCA no longer has a sponsor requirement.

The Red, White, Silver and Blue hall are all member halls which is where you will find used and older trains (you'll be pleasantly OVERWHELMED)

The Orange, Purple and Brown hall are dealer halls. and very close to all new items.

Make a point of going, MOST RETURN!!!
