Ever wonder if anyone out there in model train land is listening? Some years ago we came out with a new way to attach four wheel trucks to steam engine tenders instead of a rivet we used brass screws and brass nuts.

Now we will be offering a new way to attach 3r powered trucks. This is quite simple, we will be offering an 8:32 brass screw that has been drilled through the center to allow the electrical wire to pass all the way through it. A very simple fix to an age old problem of hiding the electrical wiring from sight.

     Your thoughts?

An 8-32 screw has a minor diameter of 0.124". A reasonable size hole through the screw would be 0.063" Diameter resulting in a remaining 0.03 wall thickness. An AWG 24 insulated wire has an outside diameter of 0.059". AWG 24 is a very fragile wire gauge. A larger diameter screw would be better. If the screw must be an 8-32, then use a steel screw to make it rugged.
