Z-4000

Depending on serial number that is true.  Later board for 2nd series of Z is out of stock.  Describe your symptoms specially and accurately when you turn on power.  What does the display do?  G

I’m having what I’m guessing is the same problem. I plug it into the wall outlet then power on. It flashes the 4000 0123 then just the right display reads 00 at the Volts and PG at the amps. Mine is the 0398 model so I know it has some years on it. I would just like to confirm that I’m buying the correct board from MTH.

Quick update I was messing around and held down to left side program button and the 00 and PG moved to that side and stays there as long as I hold down that button once I release the code jumps back to the right side. Could it be the case of the button being stuck? I don’t have a second one to test my theory.

You have the first series.  Have you made sure your throttles are fully down.  G

The button could be stuck, or there is a capacitor across each button that if shorts, mimics the button being held down.

Yes I have if the throttle is even slightly up the red light stays lit.
