I have always powered my TIU with a extra Z-500. The other day I plugged some switches into the 14 volt pin. What I discovered is that the pin is always hot. On power up regardless of throttle position the pin is hot. No need to turn throttles off then on to get power. I deceided to short out one throttle. As the light turned red and both throttles went dead the 14 volt pin was still hot. No need for a seperate power supply to keep my TIU powered all the time. I did not test the 10 volt pin but assume it works the same way.

Thought I would pass this along as it eliminates a need for a seperate power supply if using a Z-4000 because pretty much one is already there.

If you look closely at the Z4000 you'll find that each of the four outputs has its own resettable circuit breaker.  The accessory power comes on with the Z4000's master power rocker switch.  I've been using the 14v to power the TIU since two days before the DCS release.  As Gregg said, the center of the Aux Pwr plug must be connected to the black terminal.
