All was well earlier but when I went back and powered up the RED light will not go out even with the + disconnected from the TIU

This might sound rather obvious, but disconnect the tiu and make sure the handles are fully in the down position, then turn the power of the z4000 off and turn it back on. If the light is still red, hopefully it’s just a blown fuse.
you MUST have the handles fully closed on the z4000 or the red light will not go out on the transformer , does a full test and if transformer handles are not FULLY DOWN AND closed condition it won' clear! this always happens on POWERUP SELF TEST !

Thank you for the reply. Tried numerous times without success last night. Same thing this morning, switched wires to the other side and that side was good although the red light remained on. Next thing I see is the light out and all is well. Voodoo? All I know is I'm fighting the Ring doorbell now. Wahoo!
