Z4000 voltage fluctuation

Trust me, I really don’t know what’s going on there. But have you tried unhooking the wire to the TIU and running wires directly to the track? Checking to see if it will still pulse when using the handle to control voltage to the track. Might help eliminate some possibilities.

Finally got back to this. With no tiu hookup still can get to pulse. When just using the track 2 handle, operates correctly. With  both on pulses. With track 1 only it sometimes will pulse but usually quits and is stable until track 2 handle is also on.

Maybe double check the track wiring to make sure everything is solid Also maybe a short on the track somewhere. A screwdriver laying across the tracks. That type of thing.

Should have been clearer in my last post. I have nothing connected to transformer output on either channel and still get the pulsing voltage as described above.

Since that pretty much makes it a Z4000 problem are these still repairable? Is there anything I can open up and check?
