I have a very early 275 watt, laminated core, ZW transformer that has a circuit breaker I have never seen in any service manual. It is a black module, screwed to the bottom corner of the case. It is about as round as a half dollar and about 3/4" deep. It is a Klixon, automatic, open bottom CA-15 circuit breaker. My son, a long time pilot who has assisted in some old plane restorations, say he has seen the identical CB in some planes of the 40's and early 50's.
Does anyone know if Lionel used the CB in some of their ZW's or is this more than likely a user modification? Incidentally, this CB is still available.
Thanks,
Jim Lawson
