hahahah thats so funny
I wonder if this means that in the future I can buy a locomotive that actually runs out of the box?
Sounds like Sheldon stopped by and helped Mike figure it out!

A preview of the type of nonsense one usually hears at the Friday meeting in the Standz (yOrk). Now no one needs to feel that they've been left out of the loop
(Wait until you here what one club is planning for next meet )
Not bad...not bad at all! He done good!
Here's the original, and it is a classic!
This was originally done on a set where Rockwell International was about to shoot an instructional video on one of their truck transmissions. The director asked the on-camera talent to start talking, just to confirm audio levels, lighting, camera angles, etc. He started talking and the reset is history.
This was all done off the cuff and they kept the cameras rolling for the whole thing. This has been a classic in the corporate video business for many, many years.

bought 5 in the last 2 years everyone ran out of the box...
He said what?
Would you please repeat that!
Well,
NJHR now you know why TMCC/ Legacy can be such an elusive thing to understand and trouble shoot.
I now know that I've been lacking a certain tool when working on my layout.
Hip Waders cause it's gettin deep in here
I was on board till he got to the dingle arm but it went down hill from there.
I think its great! I don't see MW giving away his trade secrets. This comes to mind
Not to worry...Barry is writing a new book!
A good take on a classic.

I think the script goes back to shortly after WWII. Its been an on-going joke in engineering circles.
It was on a late 1950's plaque from General Electric in an electro-mechanical lab at Rutgers Engineering.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
He simply said that they finally connected the framastance to the whozawazzis!.
Funny, although Obama has him beat on reading from the TelePrompTer.
What link do you use to get to just a list of these videos?
I can't believe he made it through that whole video without cracking up.
They either:
a) made some very good, undetectable (to me) splices
b) required 30 takes to get one with no laughing
or
Mike is a tremendous actor/comic who should be in show business.
I don't care how many times you have seen/heard that, it is still hilarious.
Mike did not mention how the new design of the Fenobble Pin streamlines the connection to the LaJoodis Valve, thus insuring smooth operation, even when using an old style Dynamic Hypersoidal Perambulator from the original TMCC system.
That may be too technical for some, which may be why he left it out.

Funny, Mike never mentioned the creffin bearing...........

I see Mike didn't paraphrase the very last sentence from the original (about at 1:35 into the clip). If he had it probably would have been, "We know Legacy is not cheap, but we're sure you'll buy it".

I figured it was the 'dingle arm' that operated the swinging bell! Now it is confirmed.

You're lucky.
You know, for the first time Mike makes sense!
Excellent. I have never heard a more lucid or concise explanation of of the basic principles behind the new generation of command control.
I feel so much better with all techno doubt removed!
Thanks Mike
I going to go run my Williams trains now, and enjoy!
So wait. If I put a legacy remote in a Delorean, can I go back to the future (aka to York)?
I may go back to HO, even better perhaps Marx wind-up railpower.
Funny, Mike never mentioned the creffin bearing...........
I found it equally strange there was no mention of dilithium crystals...

I think my dinglearm is broken.
During my short tenure with Rockwell, I learned they had no sense of humor. I am totally surprised they allowed that video to go public. Ed
Has everyone forgotten about professor Erwin Corey?:
http://www.irwincorey.org/video.html
Sounds like Mike took lessons from him!
Yea, but what about the stinking gray wire?
Yea, but what about the stinking gray wire?
...... now thats funny!!!!
"I can't believe he made it through that whole video without cracking up."
i concur!
I sure wish that he would give a more detailed explanation instead of ratting off this basic presentation. Model railroaders are all scientists and always take an academic interest in train electronics. After listenening to this video it is now clear why the trains don't always work- the system used is too simple.
what the flux
Mike,
Can you do a video of how scrapple is made? We all know that Farmer Bill wants to know.
Inquiring minds would like to know.
I don't see what the big deal is. I knew all that stuff anyway. It's perfectly obvious to anyone who understands quantum probability and chaos theory.
