Chuck and Pete,

Yes, I saw the regulator hitting the bulkhead, so I carefully bent it away. But I was still getting contact in there somewhere. Turned out it was again the VR, but was hitting the bottom of the coal pile brace. A couple of intense Dremel sessions and it squeezed in. I didn't have to use foam under it. The Dockside board has a plastic base that is removable. Fit the new board perfectly and popped back in. And here's another bonus of using the Shakespeare board.....if it burns out....it's 20 bucks. The Dockside board is 30. Go figure.

So because I'm dumb (don't ask) I damaged the circuit board on my heavily modified dockside.  I just got the replacement board from Lionel.  It has two red leads in the upper-left corner that my board didn't have.  Can anyone enlighten me as to what they're for?  (If it's for a feature my engine didn't have, I may trouble myself to add it.)

Just a quick add, I have 2 Docksiders, 1 conventional and one TMCC.

Both work and have great hooter whistles.

I wouldn't mind chuffing in the TMCC one as it gets more run time, but it's a fun little engine anyway.

Wowak:

Sorry, just a guess but I'd bet on Power Pickup connection. Looks like the old board had holes there so see if they connect to power in.
