Good Morning!
This hint is a little more tricky than usual but I think we are going to get some great guesses! Stay tuned for updates.
Thank you,

Alaska!
I hope it's semi scale Alaska! I'd buy some!
Looks like Alaska colors to me as well.
CSX?
D&H?
MTA of New York?
NS test locomotive?
ATSF Freight? But the blue does look a little off?
C%O?
C&O/B&O
Gold and blue, must be Alaska!

Mark, thanks! Question, how long is the body of the boxcar, excluding the couplers?

Doug,
The boxcar is about 10-1/8" excluding the couplers.

Thanks! I haven't purchased any Menards train items yet, except the Sauerkraut factory, but now it's time to do so.
By the way, I believe black tank cars would be a big seller for you if you produced them.
Nice looking box car. At $19.99, it should sell very well for Menards.
Suggestion:
Instead of the Menard's script nearthe door, how about placing the Menard's name in a "truct plate" bock. MTH did that once with a PRR B60. Really looked nice. The M script takes away from a really great looking car. Or a built by plate that would look like the ones PS, ACF and the like used.
Now, that frame bottom and brake air tanks look like the ones which come with Williams cars? Any relationship?
(I have not posed in awhile, so sorry for any ignorance!)
But we do need "unit trains" of the following boxcars or refers:
1, SP OVERNITE Black
2. SP OVERNITE Silver
3, PFE
4 Santa Fe Refrig. Dispatch
5. Cotton Belt BLUE STREAK
6. REA, all variations.......
Who or what gave Menard's the idea to get in O like this? This makes M look alike the back of the Sears' toy department on N Shepherd in Houston in the 1960's. Lionel and Marx all over. Of course you could not have a working layout over the net. But the memories did return. Thanks!
"See and Owe", or someone, will know when that colorful boxcar livery was first introduced on the C&O? I, too, as above, would like to see some black tank cars, of the 8,000-10,000 gal. earlier variety.
Signed up for the emails! Great box car by the way!
On a side note, I was on a business trip and purchased a number of cars in store last week only to find that many of them came with a free 9 tree offer - is that something you can help me get applied toward my purchase?
I would love some blank black tank cars. Great idea.
My high school banner!
And again...Ordered !!!

I'm not sure when the color scheme was first used. I'll see what I can find out.
It's good to see the o gauge train car line expanding. I hope this continues AFTER the holidays.
I just bought another Rail Box (boxcar) and it had a $5 rebate, so the net cost was $12!!! I would like to see Menards drop the mail in rebate requirement and offer it as an instant in store at-the-checkout savings. I know I would buy ALOT more items if this were the case....
Mark, love the new boxcar, will have to get a few and the trees! Already have 5 box cars ,the power plant and 54 trees coming! Any chance the military helicopter will be available soon for home delivery? Not driving 800 miles round trip for one! If my Dear wife found out I was going to do that it would be a one way trip! Be afraid, be very afraid!! Lol

bmoran4,
Unfortunately, the free trees are an online only offer. Since we don't stock the trees in store, I believe it would become a logistics nightmare.
My apologies,

Play Trains,
It sounds like you will have a full forest coming in the mail!
The military helicopter is sold out but we just added 3 pieces to our inventory. These are back and purchasable online but I would suggest ordering quickly before they sell out again.
800 miles sounds like a nice road trip to me!

Mark, still showing not available for home shipment on the military helicopter! 800 miles sounds like a nice road trip? Spoken like a true company man!! Could be if I was with my dear wife, but after learning of our destination and purpose, I will be very recently divorced and therefore traveling alone!! Lol
Very nice. Haven't dipped into the Menard's pool yet but may have to pick up some of the C&O's.

Thanks Mark! I considered ordering online, but since I have not actually seen a Menards car in person, I just wasn't sure if I was going to be satisfied. Of course, when I was on my business trip and drove by a Menards, you can bet I stopped by. I purchased a number of cars and admired the track. As soon as I got to the hotel, I opened up my Army Munitions Boxcar and was just floored! It was constructed out of a high quality plastic that I could not deform with my thumb and index finger and it was THICK! The trucks were nice and heavy and they had operating couplers with a plate similar to the golden post war era trucks (no annoying thumbtack and plastic!). The rest of the business trip was agony as I couldn't wait to put the small army consists behind my 1665. I will be ordering from Menards online in the future no doubt!

I was in the MIAMISBURG store last week and they had at least 8 of the copter cars on the shelves that were not on the online inventory for the store. I believe Mark has said in the past you can call the store, transfer to the hardware desk with the SKU, and make arrangements to get the order FedExed to you. They also had 2-3 burnt engine house on the shelves..
