I just bought a18084 SF Hudson. It runs great in reverse but binds terribly going forward. It will not go a full revolution of the wheels. It appears to be a gear problem. Looking at the rollers the engine does not have a lot of run time. Before I disassemble the engine and forget how to reassemble it are there any drive train adjustments that I can make?

Do not disassemble it just yet. Do some troubleshooting to determine where the problem is.
Run it forward until it binds. Then stop and feel around all the rods. The one rod that is tight will point you to the problem.
See if a drive wheel is loose from the axle. See if a rod is bent. See why it runs OK in reverse and not in forward.
