I've had the book for several years and always said I wanted to try and build the loco but so far never got started on it. I had found this listed for quite some time on the auction site and tried to ignore it it but I finally caved and it's on it's way.... Should be 17/64th's just like the article. It's certianly not a a perfect build but probably not too bad for the time and probably built with tools of the day as well.

Looks like a PRR E-2 or E-7 Atlantic. They didn't have a tailing truck like we mostly familiar with. One is at the Pennsylvania RR Museum at Strasburg.
