I have looked over all types of layouts in all types of places. But with the foot print I'm frustrated with the limits of the room.

I think I have finally set up a small layout which I can work with for a few reasons.

1)reversing loops

2)3 distinct districts separated by 2 covered bridges

3)long straights

4)most of my inventory works well on 36 curves

(I should be as concerned over what hangs over my belt as what hangs over my curves!)

I have some wiring to do hopefully today.

I think one thing I learned is, if the 19x4 foot print isn't going to change in the near future then, wiring to the foot print is better than wiring to the layout.

Thanks for Looking!

Thanks for the responses.

I have tried going to 5' My main issues are at one end is the furnace and the other end has the gas meters hanging from the ceiling.

I have the Fast Track trestles to go to the elevated r loop that does give me more room for sidings.

I have also thought of going 5 or 6 deep against the wall with a "modular" type of layout on locking casters. 4 4x6 pieces. I have Mianne Benchwork and enough to build almost any config I come up with.

As you can maybe tell, I have definitely over bought for what space I have, so I spend more time analyzing the best use of the space I have, than building or running.

I could probably go 6x12 more square than oblong.

Welcome to the things that spin around in my head!

I could use as much direction as I can get..
