I have been running TMCC F3's for about 25 years and never seen a "2343", did I just miss it? If so, what is the stock number of the set (or separate B unit)?
I have come across NYC #2333, and Santa Fe #2383 Lionel products, and many other F3 A/B units with CrewTalk/TowerComm features, it seems odd that ATSF 2343 is not out there?

Apparently, the Santa Fe 6-18128 TMCC F3 with road number 2343 was a command without sound model, the sound was the original Railsounds in B-Unit. This model was equipped with the original LCRU-1 command board.

The early Railsounds didn't have crew talk.
Yes you are correct on the 18128 era set, I have that.
I also have snooped around the Lionel Support pages and don't find any evidence of any RS 3.0 or 4.0 that could have supported Crew/Tower boards.
Again, I find it odd being that 2343 is so iconic.

Every one is correct. The early 2343 was sold in a A-B set and a separate non powered A unit later. No crew dialog, just horn, bell, and engine sound. (and air release) It does have a very good recording of a 567 diesel engine.
