We are still in the moving from one building to the other process but what an exciting day today was seeing our first layout in our new digs starting to take shape! Special treat, we had the client come see and was able to watch the trains running full circle on the track!

Here are a couple of pictures I took this afternoon...Enjoy!

The way I interpreted what you wrote, you must be building a layout for your customer, and said layout will have to be transported from your shop to your customer’s location?

Also, the surface upon which the track is being laid would appear to be the top of the very good looking cabinet-like structure shown in the middle of the next picture, correct?

If all of this is true, how will the layout, which to me appears to be 8 to10 feet wide by 24 feet long or longer, be transported? Does it come apart in sections or modules, or would you be able to load it as a whole in a semi-truck trailer, and unload it likewise?

It looks great, by the way!

Thanks .

Great observations and questions Alex!

TrainWorx is a division of T W Design that Roger Farkash founded in 1982. Our TrainWorx division began in 2008 specializing in custom train layouts/tables/exhibits/furniture for both residential and commercial clientele.

The measurements of the train table in this picture are 8' x 32' and yes, pictured first is the table top with the middle picture showing the table base. Roger is our Chief Traingineer, designer, sculptor, and Big Boy at heart whose vision is taking us on a remarkable adventure in the Toy Train Niche.

The layout is designed and built to be modular, which is really cool and never ceases to amaze me because; track, accessories, mountains, bridges etc. are all placed in such a way that can be broken up... This table in particular has 8 wagon sections (the base) on casters with the table top piece correlating to the base breaks. All this creates a magnificant table that is modular and transportable in a semi or bobtail (depending on size) to a home and/or event.

As we progress I'll post more pictures but until this table has it's debut - location and customer will be kept under wraps

Next week we start on a local residential train layout - nothing funner than being around grown men working on making their train table dreams come true!

Happy Tracks!
