I am heading to york on thursday for the first time and of course I forgot to register early. Does anyone have any tips regarding arrival time and where i should go? Will it really take a long time to get registered at the door? thanks any help appreciated, I cant wait to get in!!

I remember vividly my first time to York. I usually start at the Silver Hall (all Halls/buildings are organized by color) where you get registered, and work around in a circle. Getting registered takes about half an hour at most, but it's wise to get there early like around 9 or 10 in the morning. Since it can be kind of overwhelming for a first time attender, it can take almost 6 hours to go through the whole thing and get a look at everything in there.
You can register in the Silver Hall from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Registration should not take long since procedures have been smoothed out in recent years.
Have fun at the meet!
Hi Carlf. You will have one fun day for sure. Closest feeling to Christmas morning for a five year old you can get.
While I was not at the last meet, last Spring it took me about 45 minutes to register on Friday morning, which seems to be about the norm.
Thank you all so much for the replies. I will make sure I get their very early. I always look forward to Christmas morning!!!
