Blacking out all that incorrect "bling" definitely brings the model up to a Kohs standard. Were you able to flip that lubricator linkage as well?

Hi Nick,

The tender on mine was high in the front. I replaced the front truck shim with a thinner one to level it.

My oiler lever is still in the wrong position and I haven't flipped it yet. Got to go back to your article to see how to safely do it.

I've been too busy with the 5430 Hudson detailing it. That one is coming along well, but I've got to get its springs right on the engine and trailing trucks.

Also, I don't care for the drawbar on the 3rd rail Hudson. Will fabricate a new one to couple closer and I will have to trim the tender deck plate to couple closer.

Ron
