I came up with a GP38 from your model number doing a search.  Anyhow these 3/2 engines ran on both 2 and 3 rail track. The rollers were included in the 2 rail models. After that’s done you just slide the switch to 3 rail. Many modelers in 3 rail look for these engines because they are running Kadee’s and want fixed pilots. They also have track that can accommodate the scale wheels and the wider radius required.

I’m guessing you want to make it a true 3 rail model. You can swap axles for 3 rail wheels and the pilot could be removed and swapped out to a truck mounted one. You will also need coil couplers.

It would help to know exactly what you have. Including the roadname. Once you figure out what you need you maybe able to swap parts with someone looking to go the other direction from 3 to 2.

You can try MTH Parts and maybe they have the parts you need or at least a breakdown with pictures.
