This PS-3 engine was bought used, and as we checked it out discovered the following: The horn works fine but the soft keys for forward, reverse and xing produce no sounds. The headlight does not work and when you operate the headlight key the ditch lights go on. All other cab sounds and functions like couplers and smoke are working. I did a factory reset with no change in results. Ant ideas?

It sounds very much like someone loaded the wrong sound and/or chain file into the engine. I suggest clicking here to download the correct sound and chain files for the engine, and then upload them to the engine.
This may well correct the problem.
