FRIDGE56VET,   yes that is the logo I was thinking of.   Unfortunately,  I may have stuck my foot in my mouth(again) as I have not been able to find any prototype photo's of the 2 bay offset hoppers with that particular logo on them.   All the ones I have looked at have the simple W.&L.E. lettering  in white with a white horizontal line above the lettering.   I don't have any W&LE reference books though,  so maybe you can find a photo or two in your book that would help.

Pat:

Sorry getting the pic took this long.  Totally forgot about it w/everything that's going on right now.  I don't see any cars in the W&LE book with that logo; this is the page that had the hopper cars on it.  Looks like they went to steel sided fairly early on.  Despite this, I'd still likely be interested in a six (or twelve) car set with the "bat logo" and/or something like these.

Note to Mods:  I can get bibliographical info for the book if proper citation is needed to post a photo of copyrighted material, though I'm at work right now and don't have the book handy.

The modern orange lettering sells well.  I do agree, I prefer a '40s '50s era style, even if they don't have the bow tie logo.  However, I'm just not in the market for a 6-pack of any car.  One or two is all I would be interested in, no matter what lettering the car has.  I only mean this as my preference, because I know 6-packs of many cars do sell well.  I like seeing them on a club layout, like the Pittsburgh Independent Hi Railers had several various 6-packs running on their trains just this past weekend at Monroeville!

All that said; Thank you Pat for putting together these special runs!  I know they are some work for you, but they are greatly appreciated!
